Welcome to the American Association for Physical Activity and Recreation

(object placeholder)

We are glad you're here! This is the official Web site of the American Association for Physical Activity and Recreation (AAPAR). We offer valuable resources for teaching physical education, physical activity, fitness, exercise, outdoor recreation and adventure, and more!

AAPAR (rhymes with "Hey Par") supports faculty, students, teachers, fitness trainers, recreation instructors, and community leaders who promote lifelong and inclusive physical activity and recreation. We believe fitness and fun are for everyone: for ALL ages and abilities.

If you teach, or would like to teach, adapted physical education, aquatics, or outdoor recreation, join us to get trained and certified. Connect with physical education leaders at the school, college, and community levels to share ideas about sport management, exercise science, human kinetics, fitness, and related disciplines. Learn new skills and take advantage of leadership opportunities to take your career to the next level.

Join us… it's never too late to PARticipate!
