Join our E-campaign the "Health Education Action Link"!
The Health Education Action Link mobilizes AAHE members and partners to contact legislators when Congress is considering Health Education legislation. The network, created in 1978, currently has more than 300 members dedicated to spreading information across a broad spectrum of individuals. All Health Education professionals can join the HEAL Network at the AAHE Advocacy website under the Legislative Action Center in one of two ways. - Join Our E-Campaign puts you on the AAHE Action Alerts List allowing you to respond to any action alert by emailing your Congressional representative and/or other governmental officials.
- Tell a Colleague allows you to pass information found on this page to friends and colleagues in health education. They too can become actively involved in advocating on behalf of the health education profession by responding to action alerts and communicating with their representatives and the media.
In the past, HEAL network members have been urged to contact their legislators concerning:
- Limiting children's access and attraction to tobacco
- Support for the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion
- Actions to prevent Medicare and Medicaid cuts
- Health Security Act
- CDC appropriations
