The American Association for Health Education, as an association of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance, is a member of the National Coalition for Promoting Physical Activity (NCPPA). NCPPA has just published the Physical Activity for Youth Policy Initiative with recommendations for improving comprehensive access and opportunity for all young people to be more physically active. These recommendations are broken down into four areas: afterschool programs, community design, community programs, and school programs. Each of these documents and the introductory letter from the Coaliton are found here. To learn more about the NCPPA and how you can become involved visit www.ncppa.org.
