apple-smAAHE/HEDIR Technology Award  

The purpose of the HEDIR Technology Award is to recognize a health educator, or a group, who has made exceptional contributions or who has transformed the profession of health education through technology.  

The award was created by Mark Kittleson, owner of the HEDIR in 1997.

Eligibility:

Any academically prepared health educator1  or group who has used technology to improve health education initiatives.  Up to two awards (1 individual and 1 group) can be given.
1 An academically prepared health educator is one who has received at least one degree in health education from an accredited university or college.

Procedures:

Included in the nomination should be a description on why this person should be given the AAHE/HEDIR Technology Award. Included within this description can be URLs, specific programs, or other related issues that will support this person's nomination. Click here for a nomination form

Deadline:  January 29, 2013

Recipient:

The recipient(s) will be announced as soon as possible after the deadline. Recipients will be honored at the 2013 AAHE Awards Luncheon.  The recipient will make a presentation at the following year's AAHE/AAHPERD annual convention.
