AAHE/HEDIR Technology Award The purpose of the HEDIR Technology Award is to recognize a health educator, or a group, who has made exceptional contributions or who has transformed the profession of health education through technology.
The award was created by Mark Kittleson, owner of the HEDIR in 1997.
Any academically prepared health educator1 or group who has used technology to improve health education initiatives. Up to two awards (1 individual and 1 group) can be given.
1 An academically prepared health educator is one who has received at least one degree in health education from an accredited university or college.
Included in the nomination should be a description on why this person should be given the AAHE/HEDIR Technology Award. Included within this description can be URLs, specific programs, or other related issues that will support this person's nomination. Click here for a nomination form
Deadline: January 29, 2013
The recipient(s) will be announced as soon as possible after the deadline. Recipients will be honored at the 2013 AAHE Awards Luncheon. The recipient will make a presentation at the following year's AAHE/AAHPERD annual convention.
