Honor Award

Recognizes a member for outstanding professional achievement and significant contribution to the field of adventure and/or outdoor education and recreation.

Service Award

Recognizes a member for outstanding service to the Council.

Contributor Award  

Recognizes a member for outstanding contributions to the Council by an outside sponsor.

Young Professional Award

Recognizes outstanding achievement from a member who is a student or someone in the field for fewer than five years.

These awards are not automatically given each year. A member of AAPAR's Board of Directors or the Executive Committee must propose nominees and present a rationale for making the presentation, upon which they will then vote.
