Julian W. Smith Honor Award Lecture

AAPAR's Council for Adventure & Outdoor Education/Recreation presents this award in recognition of his/her significant achievements in teaching youth the skills, knowledge, and attitudes required for lifelong enjoyment of the outdoors.  

24th Annual CAAD Symposium on Research on Aging

The Herbert de Vries Award is given for distinguished research in aging. Other Council on Aging & Adult Development awards are presented, including the Outstanding Young Researcher award.  

J.B. Nash Scholar Lecture

J.B. Nash, a former AAHPERD president and leader in recreation education, believed that recreation should bring out the best in people and closer to a spiritual life. One of the most prestigious in the recreation profession, the award will honor a special AAHPERD member.
