AAPAR members from the Council on Aging and Adult Development are experts in senior activity and senior fitness exercise.
Phyllis Croisant, Ph.D.
Phyllis is a professor at Eastern Illinois University (EIU), Charleston. She has a Ph.D. in exercise physiology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and teaches in both the physical education and gerontology programs at EIU. She is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health Fitness Instructor with an enhanced qualification in Exercise and the Older Adult.
Pamela "Pommy" Macfarlane, Ph.D.
Pommy is professor in the Kinesiology and Physical Education Department and faculty associate in gerontology at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb. Her interests are in physical power, gait changes with age, and general mobility and aging.
Mary Frances Visser, Ph.D.
Mary is an associate professor in the Department of Human Performance at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She has a Ph.D. in exercise physiology with a minor in gerontology from the University of Kansas.
Eva Montee, B.A.
Eva works at Mountain View Hospital in Madras, Oregon, and has more than 25 years of experience in the fitness industry.
