Brad Strand Named President-Elect at AAHPERD 125th National Convention

AAHPERD is pleased to announce that Brad Strand, Professor, Department of Health, Nutrition and Exercise Sciences, North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND, was named the new President-Elect by a vote at the Alliance Assembly on March 20, 2010.

Brad Strand received his BS in Physical Education from Mayville State University, ND in 1978; his MS in Education/Physical Education from North Dakota State University in 1984; and his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of New Mexico in 1988. He taught Social Studies and Physical Education and coached for five years in a public school in MN. After obtaining his MS he coached basketball at Valley City State University, ND, and Concordia College, MN. After receiving his Ph.D. he taught at William Paterson College, NJ, Utah State University, and North Dakota State University. He is currently a professor in the Department of Health, Nutrition and Exercise Sciences at North Dakota State University. He served as a Department Chair/Head for 12 years. Read more
