Obama signs Executive Order--President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition

Today President Obama signed an Executive Order to expand and rename the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition. The AAHPERD CEO, NASPE ED and NAGWS President were in attendance to witness the signing. The order states that : The Secretary of Health and Human Services in carrying out the Secretary's responsibilities for public health and human services, shall develop and coordinate a national program to enhance physical activity, fitness, sports participation, and good nutrition.
