Hoops for Heart (HFH) Coordinator Award
The HFH Coordinator Award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the Hoops for Heart program. A HFH coordinator is defined as an individual who has or had major responsibility for organizing and conducting a HFH event for a specific school, organization, or school system.
Qualifications
- Has a minimum of 3 years experiences as an event coordinator, state coordinator or district coordinator;
- Is currently a member of AAHPERD and has been a member for the past 2 years;
- Serves as a positive role model epitomizing personal health and fitness, enjoyment of activity, and sportsmanship and sensitivity to the needs of the participants;
- Assumes responsibility for his/her professional growth within AAHPERD related fields;
- Evidences commitment to the HFH program by having served on a local, state, district, or national committee and/or having presented workshops or programs at these levels;
- Has served as a HFH event coordinator; and
- Agrees to submit a program proposal for the Southern District Convention for the year following receipt of the award.
