CWSFA invites over thirty organizations that provide girls and women's sports opportunities to participate in an interactive sports fair. Sports Clubs, City Recreation and schools are provided with information booths and demonstration areas to make the public aware of the number of opportunities that girls and women have in our community. Organizations can demonstrate their sport and/or permit individuals to try on a sport such as kicking soccer balls, dribbling and shooting basketballs or swinging a tennis racquet. Sports like Rugby and Ice Hockey are included in the program. Sports that cannot be demonstrated on the floor are presented by lap tops or viewing screen. CWSFA also sponsors twenty scholarships to Colorado Girls and Women to enable them to take their skills to the next level. winners of these scholarships are announced at the fair. |
