Approximately 500 girls from 14 middle and 10 high schools in the Daytona Beach, Florida area will participate in an afternoon program at the school district's new University High School in Orange City, Florida. The celebration will include guest speakers Vanessa Blair and Kelly Kretschman. Ms. Blair is Head Women's Basketball coach at Bethune-Cookman University, in Daytona Beach, an award winning player/coach and former pro basketball player. Ms. Kretchman is a professional softball player for the USSSA Florida Pride and three-time Olympian, including gold medalist. Pride team players Charlotte Morgan and Francesca Enea will accompany Ms. Kretchman. The event will also include awards and recognitions for girls excelling in sports, interactive sports stations, booth browses, snacks, door prizes, goodie bags and more! |
