URI Athletics is commemorating this day by celebrating the achievements of local girls and women in sports as our women’s basketball team takes on Saint Louis University on February 13th at 12:00pm. All-female game entertainment will be provided, including women who have been influential role models in the Rhode Island community being honored as the 2011’s class of “Rhody Role Models” in a half time ceremony. There will be a free pre-game all-sport clinic held by URI women’s sports programs for kids ages 12-and-under. All clinic attendees will receive a certificate of participation, a URI goodie bag, and tickets to the game at noon. |
