The day will include warm-up games and a morning of "Quick Start" tennis activities. Quick Start is a relatively new approach to teaching tennis and includes modified balls and court size. Caryn Cranston, Pitzer ’92, will lead the tennis event. Cranston, tennis professional with the Los Gatos Tennis Academy, played both basketball and tennis as a college student/athlete and earned All American honors in basketball and two national championships in tennis. Pomona and Pitzer Colleges alumni, student athletes, staff, and community volunteers serve as organizers and clinicians. The day will conclude with lunch at the pool (just in time to watch a Pomona-Pitzer swimming and diving meet) and time to socialize. All participants will receive a t-shirt, certificate and a photo collage. |
