Registration forms MUST be received by January 30.
Girls whose registrations are received by Jan. 24 will get a t-shirt at the event, and those whose forms are received after Jan. 24 will get a shirt at a later date.
Do you like playing sports and staying active? Or maybe you would like to learn about ways to stay fit. Join us for a fun day at Western Illinois University and learn about a variety of sports from the real college student-athletes who play them. Participants will also enjoy a healthy lunch to get them energized for all the activities. Lastly, everyone will head to Western Hall to watch the exciting WIU women’s basketball team in action.
Event price includes game ticket, lunch, t-shirt (for girls), and goodie bag (for girls). General admission tickets to the game may be purchased in Western Hall by parents or others who would like to attend the game but who will not be attending activities earlier in the day.
Please dress appropriately in athletic clothing and tennis shoes.
Tentative Schedule:
11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Check-in: Brophy Hall 2nd floor East end hallway outside 235
12:00– 12:50 p.m. Welcome, Overview of Day’s Activities, and lunch and team building in Brophy 235
12:50 - 1:00 Group Photo
1:00 – 3:20 p.m. Activities and Speakers in Brophy Gym facilitated by WIU female student-athletes, coaches, Kinesiology and RPTA students, Campus Rec staff, etc.
3:20 – 3:30 p.m. gather coats and hats, walk across the street to Western Hall
3:30 - 4:25 p.m. Resource Tables/Treasure Hunt w/ women’s teams, WC, GS, RPTA, CR, etc. in Western Hall East Arena
4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Women’s BB Game vs. Oakland
* Halftime activities – all participants and WIU women’s teams will go out on the court to be recognized. |
