Midwest District AAHPERD is sponsoring this one day, Adventure Based Learning workshop in cooperation with AAPAR. The featured presenter will be Dr. Sue Sutherland, Ohio State University faculty member.
Participants in the workshop will gain a deeper understanding of ABL and its use to foster interpersonal and intrapersonal development with participants of all ages and in a variety of settings. A CD Rom will be provided for all participants which will include: Lesson plans for a 20 day ABL unit designed for Middle School students, and the Sunday Afternoon Drive debrief model.
In addition, registrants will be provided with a box lunch, handouts and other materials.
The conference site is Pokagon State Park; Angola, IN. A special room block has been reserved for participants, if needed with reduced room rates.
There is a limit of 100 registrations, based on first come basis. Complete workshop & registration information will be posted on the Midwest District AAHPERD website by July 1st.
Optional CEU & University credit for this workshop is pending. Attendees selecting this option will have an additional fee.
