Make Money on the Sidelines

Feeling the economic pinch? Whatever your field, there are ways that you can make money on the sidelines. With a little bit of creativity, you can bolster your current income and have fun doing it. Consider your passions and gifts: what do you enjoy? What are you good at? How can you use that gift to make money? For example, if kayaking is your thing in the summer, consider offering kayaking lessons to small groups. If kids and fitness are your passions, run a children's bootcamp a couple of mornings a week. Start a runner's club or teach yoga in a local park. Get creative: Lean financial times can be a good opportunity to experiment with alternative sources of income that can pad your wallet well into the future.

For more information on how you can creatively put your skills to work for you during lean financial times, check out Making Money on the Sidelines, by Mariah Burton Nelson, Executive Director of AAPAR.
