Let's Move in School State Outreach
All state AHPERD associations have partnered with AAHPERD to support Let's Move in School. As partners, they will be providing information to their members at conferences and workshops as well as in newsletters and the state association Web sites. The information will include information about the Comprehensive School Physical Activity Program and local actions to help students get 60 minutes per day of moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA).
These partnerships will help send Let's Move In School messages into every community across America. Some states, such as Wisconsin's Active Schools, already have initiatives that relate to Let's Move in School by promoting healthy active lifestyles supported by physical activity opportunities in schools through physical education, recess, club and sport programs, activity breaks in class, involvement of school staff, walking and biking to school, and connections to the family and community.
Local Collaborations

To help increase the physical activity levels of young Kansans, the Kansas Health Foundation in partnership with AAHPERD/NASPE and Kansas AHPERD, has announced Let's Move in Kansas Schools. The foundation will provide funding and support to train physical education teachers in 200 schools to serve as a Certified Director of Physical Activity and lead implementation of a comprehensive physical activity program in their schools.
