Honors and Awards

Leaders and members have been honored throughout the history of NAGWS in many ways.  Usually these honors and awards are presented at AAHPERD National Convention each Spring.  Convention honors and awards include:

• Rachel Bryant Lecturer
• Nell Jackson Awards
• Pathfinders
• Presidential Awards
• Honor Awards

Each spring NAGWS and Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) with the support of State Farm present the Wade Trophy at the WBCA National Convention/NCAA Final Four to the most outstanding female Division One basketball player.

Twice a year NAGWS awards the Mary Jennings Sport Camp Scholarship to a 10-14-year-old girl to attend a sports camp of their choice.

Individuals can also honor their mentors at any time through the Project Acclaim initiative.  Funds raised through this program support the advancement of NAGWS programs, products and services.
