Presidential Award

The NAGWS Presidential Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions in the field of Sport and Physical Activity. The award honors persons who provide the foundation of developing quality sport experiences for girls and women and who are the "bridges" that move us forward in areas of leadership, vision, and commitment.

This award is unique in that it spans and transcends sport affiliation, government affiliation, educational affiliation, and community/regional affiliation and represents national recognition of extraordinary contributions. In honoring the recipients of this award, NAGWS is honored.

The NAGWS President selects the Presidential Award honoree annually. ThePresidential Award recognizes contributions of an individual who significantly has shown advancing opportunities for girls and women in education and sport in this country. Selection Criteria: Demonstrate professional service,  dedication, and an unselfish commitment to girls and women in sport.
