NAGWS’ New Wade Trophy Committee Members

NAGWS and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association share the honor of awarding the State Farm Wade Trophy to the best player in Women’s College Basketball. The State Farm Wade Trophy is the most prestigious award in Women’s College Basketball. Past recipients have included Maya Moore, Cheryl Miller, Nancy Lieberman, and most recently Britney Griner.

NAGWS would like to recognize two of its members who have been selected to be on the Wade Trophy Voting Committee Nefertiti Walker and Nevin Capel. Nefertiti Walker also serves on the NAGWS Board of Directors as the VP of Inclusion and Social Justice. NAGWS, Senior Program Manager, Chandelle Schulte also serves on the committee as an ex-officio member.
