Two Committee Openings for NBPTS

Early Childhood and Middle Childhood Generalist Stakeholders

 

The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) is accepting applications for the committees responsible for reviewing and revising standards in two areas: Early Childhood Generalist and Middle Childhood Generalist. Early Childhood Generalist Standards are for teachers of students ages 3-8. Middle Childhood Generalist Standards are for teachers of students ages 7-12. NASPE believes that it is important to have some physical education expertise at the table during these discussions because physical education is a critical part of the curriculum in both early childhood and middle school. If you wish to be considered as a nominee from NASPE for one of these committees please send an email to naspe@aahperd.org and provide a brief description of the your background and expertise. Nominees will be invited by NBPTS to apply; however, an application is also open to all educators. To access the online application directly go to NBPTS Standards Committee Application.
