Active Kids and Academic Performance

Press Briefing on Wednesday, April 14, at 10 am to Release a New Comprehensive CDC Report on Physical Activity, Physical Education and Academic Performance, and NASPE's New Let's Move in School Initiative

The National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE), in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of Adolescent and School Health, will present new evidence that shows physical activity is one of the most important steps to our students' health and well-being and can have a positive effect on academic performance. NASPE is translating those findings into action steps for improving comprehensive school-based physical activity programs for every child in America in a new campaign called Let's Move in School. Learn from key policymakers about ways they are incorporating movement into all aspects of the school day.
