Call for Two Research Assistantships

Interested in pursuing a Ph.D in Kinesiology while researching comprehensive school physical activity programs (CSPAP) created by teachers as a Director of Physical Activity (DPA)? LSU's Department of Kinesiology is seeking two twelve month research assistantships to assist with the implementation and management of a recently funded research project that will evaluate the impact of the NASPE DPA certification program on changes in CSPAP policies, teacher efficacy, and physical activity behaviors of underserved 9-14 year-old children.

Interested applicants must first submit a LSU graduate school application and supporting materials through the online application site. In addition, the following materials must be sent directly to Dr. Russell Carson by March 12, 2012:

  • letter of application that specifically addresses interest in and/or experience with CSPAP research
  • resume
  • names and contact information of at least three references.
