AAHPERD President Irene Cucina announced that the 2012 Alliance Assembly has voted to unify the five national associations and the Research Consortium into one association approved by a vote of 89 percent.
This historic vote on unification allows us to move forward as a progressive, forward-looking organization. Over the next several months a number of activities will happen:
In addition, two bylaw motions were approved to bring clarification to the standing rules regarding financial policies for BOG observers and term limits for the Board of Governors. Both bylaw changes were editorial in nature.
