Planned Giving at NASPE

What is "planned giving"?

The term refers to charitable giving that is planned ahead of time. Gifts to your professional association can range from simple bequests made in wills to setting up charitable trusts and can be advantageous to you as the donor by providing significant tax benefits and/or income for life.

Benefits of planned gifts:

  • Increase current income for the donor or others
  • Reduce the donor's income tax
  • Avoid capital gains tax
  • Pass assets to your family at a reduced tax cost

Types of planned gifts:

  • Bequests
  • Outright Gifts
  • Retirement
  • Assets
  • Life Insurance Gifts
  • Charitable Income
  • Trusts
  • Charitable Lead Trusts

A lasting legacy to support the professional development of practitioners, faculty, and researchers in sport and physical education can ensure that the mission of the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) remains strong.

Consider what your legacy should be and talk with your financial advisor about making a lasting gift to NASPE.
