| Submission Entry: | I hope by the year 2020 the accepted curriculum for Physical Education will look very different than what we see in many schools today. There are still teachers who are stuck in the sport curriculum and roll out the ball and sit back and watch. By 2020, hopefully Physical Education will have the look and feel that we are using smaller groups, small sided games, and other teaching approaches that ensure the greatest amount of involvement and success for every single one of the students. I hope that we are able to have curricula that branch out of the basketball and football stages and introduce the students to lifelong activities that they will find appealing and can succeed in to live a long and healthy life and want to pass down those beliefs to their children as well. |
