With the Michelle Obama initiative to stop childhood obesity being successful the government has required schools to teach Physical Education and Health as an important part of the curriculum. More Physical Education Teachers will be hired to fulfill the demand for daily Physical Education at least 30 minutes. Students will be weighed and measured frequently with the nurse being an important part of the Physical Education program. Students who are overweight and obese will be put on a program to help lose weight and adopt a healthier lifestyle by including the parents in this program. |
