| Submission Entry: | My vision for physical education in the year 2020 is for all students' to develop a digitized life plan for their health. All students would be able to develop a digital plan to become a lifetime mover and healthy eater! The plan would include the lifetime activities that they would participate in at their school and be able to pursue their own interests! The plan would also include a healthy nutrition plan that they would also follow. My 2020 physical education vision would be to have all students develop their digitized plan with guidance from their certified physical education teacher for their physical education class and also outside the gym walls. The teachers at the school would look at each digital portfolio and then take the information and design the curriculum with the options that the students have suggested. The options for each nine week term would be listed on the school's physical education webpage. The students would have different choices based on the digital portfolios that were submitted and they would follow the individual plan that they developed. During the nine week class the students would evaluate their fitness level at the beginning and set goals and then be re-evaluated half way through the course and then again at the end of the 9 week class. The students would be provided with choices for their warm up, objective for the day, and national physical education standard covered, cool down and nutrition information by the certified physical education teacher. Also part of the digital portfolio would be the plan for sixty minutes of exercise each day outside of the gym walls and the healthy food that they would eat! The students would develop their own social networking page that would describe their fitness plan and also a section on their nutrition plan. All of this information would also be available on their cell phone. |
