|Submission Title:||How PE will help with weight-loss in the year 2020|
|Submission Entry:||Physical Education classes these days are trying their hardest to get a workout out of kids and teenagers. The new grading system in the California Standards for PE makes it harder for kids to get good grades in the class because of their obesity. Now I'm not saying that they are all obese but some kids that are struggle with these kind of things. The grading system should be just a little bit different in the year 2020.
The grading system now has 4 different levels of a grade that you can get. There's a 1, which is a D, 2, a C, 3, a B, and a 4, which is an A, or proficient. Most kids that struggle with obesity can't even reach a 3 or higher. Which a C is not a bad thing but some of those kids don't even get that. The problem is that the grading system is meant for more fit people.
But in 2020 it should be at least a little bit different for the obese ones. The grading should be a little bit easier for the obese kids so they do not fail in Physical Education. It's not a matter of singling out the obese kids but more of giving them a chance to actually make through their PE class. Some PE classes should even look into things like P90X and Tae Bo.
For the next 20 years of Physical Education they should make it easier for these kids. Especially for people here in the US, with our obesity problems. The obesity problems people have today are ruining our childrens lives because of processed foods and sweets.
Physical Education classes should also give out homework for their students. Like diets and workouts to do at home. That would help obese kids lose weight at home also. Then Physical Education could be a little bit easier and also a little bit more challenging.
