NASPE and ING have teamed up to provide you with program materials to help you plan and get started. However, you are not required to use these program materials. You may have some tried-and-true running activities and interdisciplinary lesson ideas. You may even have a "formal" running program already in place at your school.
If you do, great! Please use any and all materials that you find helpful in providing your students with a safe and enjoyable experience. In that regard, other web-based youth running resources are identified on the Other Running Resources page.
The instructional materials developed by NASPE and ING RFSB that you'll find on this Web site include:
"There are as many reasons for running as there are days in the year, years in my life. But mostly I run because I am an animal and a child, an artist and a saint. So, too, are you. Find your own play, your own self-renewing compulsion, and you will become the person you are meant to be."
