1. What is the NASPE Research Grant Program?

The NASPE Research Grant Program is a program designed to provide substantial funding for critical applied research related to PK-12 physical education, school-based physical activity and sport programs, and youth sport that is relevant to a large number of NASPE members.

2. How much funding is available?

Based on availability, funding of up to $30,000 will be awarded.

3. Who is eligible to receive a NASPE Research Grant?
a. All NASPE members are eligible to apply for a NASPE Research Grant, except those who are involved in the review and/or approval processes.

b. All principal and co-investigators must be members of NASPE at the time of application and must maintain membership in NASPE during the entire funding period.

c. The principal investigator must have been a member of NASPE for the past three years prior to application.

d. The principal investigator must reside at the institution where the research is being conducted.

e. Those who agree to the grant requirements.

4. How do I apply for a NASPE research grant?

Based on funding cycle, letters of intent will be submitted and reviewed by a committee. The NASPE Research Grant Review Committee will invite submission of full proposals from those applicants whose letter of intent was most closely aligned with the purpose of the grant topic and who meet all NASPE Grant Program eligibility criteria.
