| Description: | Almost $8 million of the $12 million grant will be awarded to Head Start Centers in the form of sub-grants designed to improve outdoor play spaces. There will be 380+ of these grants awarded per year via an RFP process. All Head Start Centers around the country will be encouraged to apply. HSBS anticipates that the Play Space RFP will be released in May 2009 and that grants will be awarded by early September 2009. Updates will be posted on the HSBS website. |
