Skate in School

Skate in School is the unique in-line skating program for schools developed by NASPE and Rollerblade. The program, which started in 1996, is being used by more than 1,000 schools across the country and has introduced nearly three million students to in-line skating, starting them rolling on a lifetime of fun and fitness.

The Skate in School program meets Healthy People 2010 objectives and National Standards for Physical Education, and includes:

  • Rollerblade skates and protective gear, which you purchase and own
  • NASPE-approved, developmentally appropriate lesson plans
  • Instructional video with eight steps to easy and safe skating
  • Optional in-service instruction and optional skate storage cart

Each skate package includes:

  • Durable Rollerblade® skates, with non-marking hardware and brake pads that won't damage floors with proper use
  • Rollerblade® helmet & protective gear for wrists, elbows & knees
  • Beginning, intermediate and advanced lesson plans
  • ″Skate Great" instructional video for easy and safe skating

Adult skate packages (sizes 6-14) are $85. Youth packages (Sizes 12-2; 2-5; 4-7) are $75 and feature adjustable skates that accommodate four shoe sizes.
