Johnnie immediately got the class moving, taking them from floor stretches in to planks and right into standing with hamstring stretches, arm reaches, and hip sways that used the torso and shoulders. She encouraged her class by telling them to, "just smile, it's O.K."
Johnnie's Hip Hop had a mixture of styles blended inside it; including old school bboy/ house and Afro-Caribbean. Her movements brought softness to the hard edge of hip hop. Johnnie never stopped moving throughout the class. She explained as she went along; continually keeping the action moving.
