Lila Rasa: Yoga

On certain days, the ADF holds what they call WFSS (pronounced "woofs") classes, which give the campers a break from their regular rigorous routine and a chance to take something a little different. Offered are yoga, Pilates, and other body work classes, along with drop-in technique classes, master classes, and repertory workshops.

Lila Rasa practiced Anusara yoga, based on tantra, meaning a tool used for expansion.  It focuses on the Shiva-Shakti Tantra, as explained by Rasa, where there "has to be stability, but stability gives way to joy." During class Rasa focused on poses to elongate and open the muscularity of our bodies. She continually referred to, "opening your heart" throughout each exercise, explaining that opening one's heart reveals one's, "highest nature. The part of you that is infinite; the part that is you."
