PrintSurprise Flash Mob Rehearsal!
At the end of Gerri Houlihan's class there was an added treat, as the students prepared a secret flash mob in honor of Charles Reinhart, the ADF Co-director, who after 43 years of running the festival, retired at the end of this summer. The flash mob, set to the Hall & Oates song, "You Make My Dreams," demonstrated the students' love and appreciation for Charles. The flash mob was to be presented at the intermission of the Paul Taylor Dance Company performance at the Durham Performing Arts Center. This truly showed the sense of community and family that is felt by all who take part in the American Dance Festival each year.
