Let's Move LogoNDA unites with AAHPERD in support of First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move campaign--extending the phrase to Let's Move in School (LMIS) The LMIS goal  is  to educate youth about the benefits of a creative, healthy  lifestyle, ensuring that every school provides Comprehensive School Physical Activity Programs (CSPAP). NDA  members must lead in incorporating a comprehensive dance education  into the schools, as part of  this exciting process. What NDA Members Can Do

Our NDA board of directors welcomes our members to develop the dance aspects of this program, integrating dance as part of the arts and a creative, active lifestyle. Each association will design Let's Move in School related web content including dance, as a way to reinforce K-12 PE and physical activity.

Resources

NDA publishes resources to help with curriculum planning and implementation of a strong dance education curriculum in the schools. As the national education policy is shaped, there now is a clear statement from the top that physical activities of all kids, including excellent dance education, will improve our students' abilities to learn and become creative, collaborative and constructive citizens.
