Leisure-Time Physical Activity, Sedentary Behavior, and Physical Fitness Among Adolescents
Matthew S. Kerner
Abstract:
This article describes the conflicts in the results of research on physical activity, physical fitness, television watching, and the use of the Internet. It looks at a study of 129 high school girls and addresses research findings that show that, contrary to popular belief, neither Internet usage nor television watching greatly affects the amount of leisure-time physical activity in adolescents.
