Teacher Radar: The View from the Front of the Class
Lynn Owens

Abstract:
According to the NASPE beginning teacher standards, the ability to manage and motivate students is fundamental to effective teaching. To be truly effective at managing and motivating students, teachers need to monitor and react to class behavior and class feedback (verbal and nonverbal) while simultaneously giving instructions or feedback. This article explains the concept of “teacher radar” for use in class management, class control, and class discipline.
