RC 2011 Call for Nominees

Research Consortium President-Elect and Secretary

The Research Consortium is accepting nominations for President-Elect 2012–13 (serving 1 year, followed by 1 year as President and 1 year as Past President) and Secretary, 2012-14. Nominees must be Fellows of the Research Consortium with professional or life membership in AAHPERD for at least the past two years. Nominees must have a primary interest, experience and demonstrated leadership in the disciplines represented within the Consortium and a philosophy of the fundamental importance of the interrelatedness of the associations of AAHPERD.

Nomination must include name of nominator (a member or Fellow of the Research Consortium) as well as name, e-mail and phone number of nominee. Self-nomination is accepted. Submit nominations to: c_ennis@uncg.edu (Catherine D. Ennis, University of North Carolina at Greensboro).  

Distinguished Service Award

If you know a Research Consortium member or Fellow who has demonstrated significant contributions to Research Consortium affairs for an extended period, consider nominating that person for the Consortium's Distinguished Service Award. Current Consortium board members are ineligible. Past recipients include: Barbara Ainsworth, Ray Ciszek, Jane Clark, David Clarke, John Dunn, Diane Gill, Amelia Lee, Jim Morrow, Stephen Silverman, Jerry Thomas, Maureen Weiss and Emily Wughalter.  

Nomination must include: (a) statement of why this nominee deserves the award including a summary of the person's RC activities, noting the impact these have had on the RC over time, (b) vita of nominee, and (c) contact information for the nominator.
