- The prospective audience should represent as wide and varied a pattern of professional interaction as is commensurate with the size and location of the applicant group.
- The applicant group should be an AAHPERD sanctioned group.
- The applicant group shall not have hosted an Alliance Scholar during the five (5) years preceding the current application.
- The services of the Alliance Scholar must have the potential to enrich the applicant group in significant professional ways.
- The two applicant groups chosen shall be in different regions of the country.
- In the case the above criteria result in more than two applicant groups being considered, the groups whose applications have the earliest postmark shall have priority over those postmarked at a later date.
