Adapted Physical Education Assessment Scale (APEAS II) Workshop

Registration is required. All participants must bring a laptop to the workshop. Participants receive hands-on practice with administration and scoring performances at the elementary and secondary levels. Instructors use exercises that are unique to this test administration. Participants will also learn to use the software.

NASPE NCACE Coaching Education Accreditation Workshop

Learn all about developing assignments, assessments, and rubrics targeted at providing data/evidence that candidates meet the PETE standards/elements. Workshop will focus on aligning assessments/rubrics with the standards. Participants should bring along their student internship assessment. Sign up for short consultations with experienced reviewers to discuss assessment in your program.

This workshop is a pre-requisite to the Wednesday NASPE/NCATE Program Report Reviewer Training. This workshop will review the 2008 Initial PETE standards followed by an in-depth presentation on developing a successful program report. Round table discussions will focus on participant questions related to specific topics. Preparing Option B and C reports will be discussed.

NDA Heritage Breakfast Banquet Honoring Tap Dance Icon Dianne Walker

NDA celebrates the prestigious dance career of Dianne Walker by presenting her with the Heritage Award. Dianne's lifetime of dedication to the art form of tap dance has taken her to Broadway, television, theatre, universities, workshops and jazz venues throughout the world. She is considered a pioneer in the resurgence of tap dancing and is known fondly as; "America's First Lady of Tap." Her talents are exemplary as a choreographer, performer, teacher, director, and mentor. She has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards and was also a participant in the Dance USA Task Force on Dance Education. As an internationally acclaimed woman in the field of tap dance, we honor her achievements and determined efforts in advocating this truly American art form. All purchasers of banquet tickets are welcome to attend Ms. Walker's Saturday master class at no additional fee.

McCloy Research Lecture and Breakfast provides a forum for a distinguished leader in the HPERD disciplines to present cutting edge research findings of interest to researchers and practitioners alike. During this widely attended event, the Research Consortium also presents several awards. The lecture serves as a continuing memorial to Charles H. McCloy, one of the great pioneer scientists and leaders of the profession.
